Abram's 11!

My Abram turned 11 last week, and I can hardly believe it. We had a fun time celebrating his birthday. The night before his birthday party he got to open an early birthday present:
A green screen. He was only a little excited.
The next day was his birthday party. His friends all came in costume and they had a blast filming their very own action movie.
Here they are in the Storyboard Room, going over the script, gathering weapons, and deciding who were good guys and bad guys.
After a bite to eat, they were all set to go. The movie took a couple of hours to film, and now Abram is working on all of the editing/special effects. He is hoping to have it completed by the end of Winter Break, so that he can present his friends each with a copy.
When we were finally done filming, it was time for the Awards Ceremony. His friends were presented each with an award, trophy, and a day's pay of a 100 Grand candy bar.
Then it was time for ice cream sundaes and gifts. It was a very fun (and exhausting) day.
We celebrated with the family the next day on Abram's official birthday. True to tradition, Abram chose orange chicken from Panda Express for his birthday dinner. He opened a few more presents, including his very own digital camcorder, and we rounded out the evening with cherry cheesecake pie.
Abram keeps us hopping with all of his interests. He still loves anything about science and weather and is very much into editing movies these days. He continues to enjoy wrestling, violin, and singing. He is so good to help out around the house, and is very thoughtful of other people. I love that he still gives me hugs and flashes an "I love you" sign with his hand when I drop him off at school. We love you, Abram. Happy Birthday!!

That party sounds like all kinds of awesome!! And a copy of a movie you helped to make has got to be the coolest "favor" ever. Very cool!
